Investment projects were also launched in religious cities of the state during the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony (GBC) on Monday. This includes investment projects worth about Rs 40 thousand crore in Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura. About 500 projects worth Rs 86 thousand crore will be implemented in all the eight religious places of the state including these cities. This will provide employment opportunities to about 2.5 lakh people.
The government’s focus in investment projects is also on major religious cities. After the construction of Srikashi Vishwanath Dham and the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya Dham, investors are also showing great interest in these cities. Projects worth about Rs 40 thousand crore have been launched in GBC only for Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura. In this, 124 projects worth Rs 15,314 crore will be started in Kashi, 81 projects worth Rs 13,487 crore in Mathura and 146 projects worth Rs 10,156 crore will be started in Ayodhya.
142 hotels, resorts and guest houses will be constructed in Ayodhya with an investment of Rs 3,500 crore only through the Tourism Department. At the same time, an investment of Rs 3,409 crore will be made through the Housing Department. About 50 thousand people will get employment from 146 projects of all departments in Ayodhya. Similarly, 124 projects of various departments will come to ground in Varanasi. Most of these are from tourism and hospitality sector. This will provide employment to about 43 thousand people.
Bhoomi pujan has been done to bring 81 projects on the ground in Mathura. The state government is also going to construct the Mathura-Vrindavan corridor here with Rs 150 crores. This will further increase the number of investors and tourists there and will provide employment opportunities for about 30 thousand people. Similarly, investment worth Rs 1,152 crore will be made in Kushinagar, Rs 9,619 crore in Prayagraj, Rs 7,047 crore in Chitrakoot, Rs 21,801 crore in Sitapur for Naimisharanya pilgrimage site and Rs 7358 crore in Mirzapur.
At the same time, in view of the Mahakumbh to be held in Prayagraj in the year 2025, a target has been set to bring investment projects there as soon as possible. These also include some major hotels and many other projects.
